Come and learn about the expanding new program with the Alaska Court System providing not only monitoring of existing cases but with assistance from trained facilitators.  These cases can last decades and changes can happen anytime.  The monitors can assist with understanding forms, court processes and resources that could assist.  The court has added additional check-in’s with existing cases and will finish its expansion at the end of January 2026.

ASAGA welcomes back Nathan Cole from the Social Security Administration to discuss how to apply for the primary two Social Security disability payments and helpful information to assist you.  We cannot record this session but it is offered three times a year in January, April and September.

When a new guardian or conservator is appointed, you have to gather all income, expenses, assets and liabilities.  What property do they own?  What bills do they have to pay?  How do I find out this information?  This session will guide you through with tools and ideas to gather what you need.

Whether you are a family member or friend, a professional provider or even a power of attorney, guardian or conservator, how we talk to loved ones or clients is of the utmost importance.  Isolation and manipulation should not be a part of the equation. Undue influence is using excessive pressure or authority by someone in a position of trust to overpower another’s free will; making them do something they might normally not.  Understanding what undue influence is and looks like will help you avoid it.
